DAY 1 : Reach Manali
Arrive at Manali in the afternoon or evening, if desired, and settle into your hotel. The day is at your leisure, and you are free to wander the streets of Manali and perhaps spend some time in one of the many cafes. Final review of the list of stuff to bring for the Spiti road trip. If there’s anything you’re lacking, now’s the time to stock up for the upcoming days. Manali is where you will spend the night.

DAY 2 : Manali to Sissu Village – Acclimatization Day
We will begin our trek to Sissu village on the first day. One of the highlights of the vacation will be the drive on this day. In the Solang Valley, have a cup of tea. Solang Valley is breathtakingly beautiful all year and is a great place to see the majestic snow-capped Himalayas, tranquil natural surroundings, pure lake, and fairy white snow. After that, you’ll cross the high mountains through the Atal Tunnel and arrive at Sissu Valley, where you’ll tour and spend the night.

DAY 3 : Sissu Village to Kaza
We set off early today from Sissu Village. We’ll pass across Kunjum Pass, as well as the Bada Darra, Chota Darra, Kunzum Mata Temple, and Losar. Arrive in Kaza in the evening. Kaza is where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 4 : Kaza to Tabo via Mudh (Pin Valley)
Drive to Pin Valley, a tributary of the Spiti river that springs deep in the Trans Himalayan highlands and leads to Bhaba Pass, a popular hike and one of the ancient trading routes. It is also home to the beautiful Snow Leopard, as well as a variety of Trans Himalayan species and unique birds protected by India’s National Parks. Before travelling to Tabo, you’ll drive through this magnificent valley up to the last settlement of Mudh. Tabo, a monastery and UNESCO World Heritage Site, portrays the lineage of Lord Buddha.

DAY 5 : Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar to Lhalung
The trip to Dhankar Monastery, which is situated on the edge of a 300-meter cliff, is breathtaking and appears like something out of a movie scene. A one-hour hike to the lovely Dhankar Lake, which is located above Dhankar town, is a terrific way to get started with High Himalayan Trekking. We travel to Lhalung Village after Dhankar. Lhalung, which translates to “Land of the Gods,” is a small settlement flanked on one side by the Tangmar mountain range and on the other by the Lingti River. The Valley is well recognised for its beautiful nature and gorgeous monastery, despite its remote location and difficulty of access. Returning to Kaza. Evening at leisure, which can be spent browsing Kaza market’s eateries. Dinner along with Night stay at Kaza.

DAY 6 : Kaza to Langza, Hikkim, Komic and Back (70 kms/ 3 hours)
Take it easy this morning as we travel to Langza, the primary region for fossils, Hikkim, the world’s highest post office, and Komic, one of the world’s highest communities at 4600 metres. A trip to Komic’s Tangyud monastery is also recommended. During this drive, you will be able to observe some snow-capped peaks. You can also trek from Langza to Komic, that will take 3-4 hours. Visit the postmaster at Hikkim’s world’s highest post office and mail some postcards from there. Return to Kaza by car.

DAY 7 : Kaza to Chandrataal Via Lohsar (12o kms/ 5 hours)
We leave in the early morning for ChandraTal, the Moon Lake, through Lohsar hamlet and Kunzum Pass. One of the attractions of the vacation will be the trip on this day. Have a pot of tea in Lohsar, the last village in the Spiti valley. After that, you’ll just travel closer to the high mountains, and all you’ll see from Kunzum Pass and beyond are snow-capped peaks. From the roadblock, the climb to ChandraTal Lake takes 20 minutes. The lake is an enthralling sight that will undoubtedly leave you speechless. We’re at a loss for words to explain it. Spend the night at a lakeside campground.

DAY 8 : Chandrataal to Manali via Kunzum and Atal Tunnel (120 kms/ 7 hours)
Today will be the last day our tour, and we will depart for Manali shortly after breakfast. You’re already acquainted with the route; it’s the same one we took on day two, passing through Bada Darra, Chota Darra, and Rohtang Pass before arriving in Manali late in the afternoon.
