In the 500 years since Kalpa was named as Chini, little has changed. According to legend, Lord Dalhousie would ride his horse here when he needed a respite from his rigorous routine in Shimla. A 79-foot rock structure that resembles a Shivlinga stands on the side of Kalpa and can be seen with the naked eye on a bright day. Rest for a bit in your hotel after lunch.
